Rakel Wienberg is a South London based photographer who grew up in Denmark. She moved to London in the early 2000s and graduated from MetFilm School (BA Hons) in 2010.

Years after graduating, she began experimenting with stills photography and started to started to notice how, when implementing motion, subjects and spaces leave behind abstract visual imprints. These trails and textures have the potential to evoke fragments of memory that time travels through nostalgia and imagination and connect to wordless moments in time. A single image can become a mirror echoing past stories about complex emotions and it can even become a place for them to reside in.
